Well, I've let my DA page simmer for almost a year now...

To update, I've been spending all my time this past year writing a 1000 page sci-fi western story...I've pretty much finished the first 500 pages (or 5 books/novellas), and I'm working on the other 500...my hopes are to get it published some time in the near future. Currently I'm getting a short story (an actual excerpt from book 2) ready to send to a magazine.
A lot of people have seen Shirotsuki's fantastic painting of my story. I'm not going to give too much away...(this is all top secret unless I get the story published, in which case I don't have to worry about copyrights and theft, and then I can explain more)...but basically the main question seems to concern the creature next to the girl...he's not an anthro donkey or bunny

He's an alien. His ears are actually thin stalks with a membrane that picks up sonic waves. I wanted something different from the typical ear lobes. It's unconventional and hopefully not too confusing

Actually, technically the girl is the alien...but...
Anyway, if all goes well, I might be posting short story on DA in a few months. It coincides with the picture, so it'll give a story to the image.
My thanks goes out to Shirotsuki, who did an amazing job with the picture. It's stunning, and she did it so quickly it boggles my mind that she whipped out such a good painting in such a short time. A round of applause to her :claps:
